RSV is a common, highly contagious respiratory infection. Hometown Pediatrics offers Beyfortus, an injectable antibody that helps protect babies against serious RSV-related lung infections. Newborns and babies under 8 months of age born during or entering their first RSV season and children up to 24 months of age who remain at risk of severe RSV disease through their second RSV season are eligible. We have acquired our supply of Flu Shots for the 2025/2026 flu season and will begin to administer them Monday, August 25, 2025 . Flu shots are recommended for ALL children above 6 months of age. All of our flu shots are preservative-free!

The flu virus is common and unpredictable, and it can cause serious complications and death, even in healthy children. The influenza immunization each year is the best way to protect children. If you choose not to vaccinate your child, you not only miss the opportunity to protect your own child but also can put others at risk. Although influenza can be treated with antiviral medications, these drugs are less effective if not started early, can be expensive, and may have bothersome side effects.
